Summary ø The Demonstrations Working Group consists of members working to create a compelling demonstration agenda by defining a series of demonstrations with rational, workable structure, scope, and sequence that prove state-of-the-art and illustrate the breadth of the GridWise transformation. They will accelerate the pace of demonstration by defining common criteria for evaluating demonstration projects, proposals, and outcomes that promote opportunities for collaborative funding and raise awareness by publicizing resulting demonstration projects, outcomes and benefits.

Charter ø Create a Compelling Demonstration Agenda:

• Prove state-of-the-art by defining a series of demonstrations with rational, workable structure, scope, and sequence.
  
  
• Illustrate the breadth of the transformation by ensuring the demonstrations cover the full range and scope of the GridWise vision.
  
  
• Accelerate the pace of demonstration by defining common criteria for evaluating demonstration projects, proposals, and outcomes that promote opportunities for collaborative funding.
  
  
• Raise awareness by publicizing resulting demonstration projects, their outcomes and benefits.

Activities ø The Demonstrations Working Group will:

• Define a series of demonstrations with rational, workable structure, scope, and sequence that cover the full range and scope of GridWise.
  
  
• Define common criteria for evaluating demonstration projects, proposals, and outcomes that promote opportunities for collaborative funding of demonstrations.
  
  
• Lend GridWise name to demonstration projects funded by others that meet criteria, as appropriate.
  
  
• Work with the Outreach Working Group to:

1. Publicize Alliance demonstration agenda and criteria.
2. Publicize GridWise demonstration projects and accomplishments.
